Year 6 Film Making Club

Six children from Year 6 are taking part in the Film Making after school club.  Over the course of the eight weeks, the children will learn a range of skills and techniques such as shot sizes, story boarding, scripting and editing.
Lambeth Computer Learning Centre (CLC) are going to help us edit our work during an all day session at their offices in July.
We hope to be able to showcase the film during an assembly in the last week of term.

Welcome to our first ever Film Club Blog post!

We are thrilled KS1 Film Club is so popular and are really excited about our screenings this term and our plan to launch a KS2 Film Club after the summer.

Our aim is simply to encourage children to enjoy cinema and develop an interest in film making.

This term we have just had a very successful small screening of Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid. We are planning another big screening before the end of term – watch this space!

The school is behind us and we are working together to expand film making opportunities for the children. We are delighted to be teaming up with the charity Film Club that works with Film Clubs in schools. They have lots of resources including a film library and can arrange guest speakers etc. – we can’t wait!

We would love as many parents as possible to get involved in Film Club. If you can help in any way (and especially if you can help set up KS2 Film Club) please email rosendalefilmclub@gmail.com

We will also begin publicising events and screenings you might be interested in on this Blog shortly. If you want to be the first to know about things we are planning, please remember to sign up to follow this blog.
